  Nowadays, students are surrounded with technology. However, inmersion doesn´t necessarily mean comprehension. For our generation, certain tools such as Power Point or Excell were rather common. Nonetheless, this new generation is more used to other programmes or devices (videogames, apps, smartphones and tablets).  At present, tools like Canva, that an be used both in the smarthphone or computer, are designed to be easy for begginners and include many features other programmes don´t have (photo edition, video...). The interface is attractive and the search bar allows users to find what they need easily. One good example of an activity that can be easily created for class is a Presentation. The design of this feature is quite similar to Power Point: you can animate the slides o create an interesting sequence and it  is possible  to include pictures and videos. Phones in the classroom: yai or nay?/ M贸viles en el aula: ¿s铆 o no?

馃憤 馃憥 In recent news, we have an announcement from the British Government regarding the prohibition of phones in schools, even during recess. This subject has raised some eyebrows. Are we being too radical? Shall we adapt the classroom to this new technological era? Here are some of the pros and cons of this conspicuous matter: FOR Students are surrounded by devices everywhere. Schools are becoming more and more modern. However, are we ready to bring phones into the classroom? From the perspective of a student, stepping into a classroom where photocopies, books and a traditional boards are used, it´s like time travelling. This environment is alien to them and so it is school in general. If we are confident that smartphones should be banned, the least we can do is modernising the classrooms. Thus, investing in smartboards, laptops/tablets for the teachers, digital systems to do the register...etc. Nonetheless, some centres do not have a budget to do such changes.
